About the Role
2Hire Recruitment is currently partnering with a council in the Western Victoria Region to recruit a skilled Drainage & Road Engineer for a permanent position.
Position Details:
Industry: Local Government
Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000 + Super
Location: Regional Victoria
Responsibilities:
Provide initial guidance on engineering, regulations, and Council policies to developers.
Offer specialized engineering advice for subdivisions and permits.
Develop plans, surveys, and designs for projects.
Review developers' engineering plans according to standards.
Certify that infrastructure adheres to approved plans and Council standards.
Advise on strategic structure and development plans.
Contribute to policy, procedure, and report preparation.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Relevant experience in Development Engineering or a related field in Local Government.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated approach.
Proficiency in using relevant computer software and systems, including AutoCAD & Civil3D.
